Sacral chakra (Svadhishthana)

The six-petalled lotus flower, the sexual or sacral chakra (Sanskritस्वाधिष्ठान Svādhisthāna "the lovely one") is located about a hand's breadth below the navel and is one of the seven main soul organs of perception in the human astral body.

According to the findings of the German mystic and Jakob Böhme disciple Johann Georg Gichtel, the sacral chakra is under the direct influence of the Mercury sphere. According to modern yoga teachings, its colour is orange.
