Vishnu

Vishnu (Sanskrit: m., विष्णु Viṣṇu, "the all-pervader") is one of the most important forms of the divine in Hinduism, but already occurs in the Vedas. In Vishnuism or Vaishnavism (from Sanskrit: वैष्णव Vaiṣṇava "belonging to Vishnu"), he is considered the manifestation of the Supreme. His Shakti, the feminine side of the divine, is the goddess Lakshmi, who is considered his consort.
