Seven Plagues of the End Time

The Seven Plagues of the End Times and the "Seven Bowls of Wrath" form a thematic unity in the Revelation of John in the New Testament of the Bible. The vision of the seven plagues (Rev 15-16 EU) follows the visions of the seven seals (Rev 6 EU) and the seven trumpets (Rev 8-9 EU). The plagues emerge from the seventh trumpet and are part of God's judicial action in the end times. The imaginative picture of the seven plagues takes up in a transformed form the motif of the land plagues during the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.
