The Value of Thinking for a Knowledge that Satisfies Human Beings - The Relationship of Spiritual Science to Natural Science

Der Wert des Denkens für eine den Menschen befriedigende Erkenntnis - Das Verhältnis der Geisteswissenschaft zur Naturwissenschaft

Eleven lectures in Dornach between 20 August and 9 October 1915

Contents

In the first part of these lectures Rudolf Steiner speaks about human thinking and its capacity for cognition in the earthly and supersensible realms. The lectures in the second part, "The Relationship of Spiritual Science to Natural Science", show how anthroposophical cognition relates to the general formation of concepts - especially science - a problem that is just as relevant today as it was then. In this context, the last lecture of the volume on the mechanical concepts of space, time and movement is particularly revealing.
