This template is used to present text in Persian language and Arabic script in a consistent and readable way according to Wikipedia:Foreign word formatting. It also helps browsers, Screenreaders and search engines to handle the text better by specifying the writing direction and the language of the text (=Persian).
Optionally, different transcriptions as well as the meaning of the word can be given.
