Seven planets, which together form the Hebdomad or Hebdomas (Greekεβδομάς "sevenness"), build, according to the occult view, together with the Earth, which rests in the centre of the whole system, our present planetary system, which is surrounded on the outside by the zodiac. The outer planets, dwarf planets and planetoids, which are not visible to the naked eye, are not integrated into this scheme. These 7 planets must not be confused with the so-called occult planets of the same name, which represent various earlier and later stages of evolution (→ [[[world evolution]]) of our planetary system. Our present planetary system has already undergone three incarnations and is now on the fourth stage of evolution. Three more re-embodiments will follow before a completely new evolution begins, which is in no way karmically causally connected to the present one.
