Palm Sunday (LatinDominica in Palmis de passione Domini for the Roman Catholic Church; Palmarum for the Protestant Church) is the Sunday before Easter and the first day of Holy Week. It is also the sixth and last Sunday of Lent.

In Christianity, Palm Sunday commemorates the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, who was greeted by the cheering crowds with palm branches as a sign of life and the victorious power of the sun.
