The Goetheanum-Thought in the Middle of the Cultural Crisis of the Present: Collected Essays from the Periodical 'Das Goetheanum' 1921-1925

Der Goetheanumgedanke inmitten der Kulturkrisis der Gegenwart. Gesammelte Aufsätze aus der Wochenschrift «Das Goetheanum» 1921–1925

In 1921 the weekly journal "The Goetheanum" was founded, of which Rudolf Steiner was editor until his death (1925), and for which he regularly wrote essays and various contributions.

Contents

The works collected in this volume are divided into four main sections: On the World Situation; Contributions to the Revival of Buried Spiritual Life - Goethe Studies; Book Reviews; Anthroposophy - The Goetheanum and its Work. Through their thematic diversity they give a vivid picture of Rudolf Steiner's personality and effectiveness in his last creative period. But they also show how the forces of decline in the present can only be counterbalanced by new, spiritually alive thinking.
