Everything concerning the mind is called mental. Contrary to the usual use of language today, from an anthroposophical point of view a clear distinction must be made between the purely spiritual process and its mental image in the soul as a carrier of consciousness, conditioned by the physical body. The term "mind" used in Anglo-Saxon literature refers only to this body-conditioned mental reflection and must therefore not be confused with either the independent body-free reality of the spirit or the immortal soul. Mind is defined here as "the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought."
