Ancient Greek philosophy was a major epoch of ancient philosophy. It lasted for more than 1100 years, from around 600 BC (Thales was the oldest representative, born around 624 BC) to the 6th century AD, when the last Neoplatonists were active. Their main centres of activity were ancient Greece and the Roman Empire.
