Air

Air (Greekἀήρ aḗr; Latinaer; Hebrewרוח Ruach) is one of the four classical elements which, according to the occult view, build up the physical world. In the spiritual-scientific sense, air is first of all everything that is in an airy, i.e. gaseous, state of matter.

In the course of world evolution, air first came into being on the Old Sun, an earlier embodiment of our planetary system, in that the originally only present heat refined itself into the ether of light on the one hand, and condensed into the element of air on the other.

The elementary beings of the air, the sylphs, weave as active workmasters of nature in the air element.
