The 10 Sefirot in the Tree of Life connected by the Path of the Flaming Sword (yellow), which indicates the order of their creation from 1 - 10.

Chesed (Hebrewחסד „grace, kindness, goodness”) or Gedulah (Hebrewגֹּדֶל „greatness”) is the fourth sefira on the Tree of Life of Kabbalah. It stands for grace and goodness in the sense of loving care and compassion. Rudolf Steiner translates it as freedom (Lit.:GA 353, p. 212). Chesed stands on the right pillar Jachin under Chokmah (wisdom) and above Netzach (victory).

Chesed is the fourth path of the 32 paths of wisdom and stands for the measuring, holding together or receiving intelligence.
