Geburah or more correctly Gevurah (Hebrew: גבורה "severity, strength, righteousness") is the fifth sefira on the Tree of Life of the Kabbalah. It is seated on the left pillar of Boaz under Binah (understanding) and above Hod (splendour, radiance, majesty). Rudolf Steiner translates her as life force. Together with Chesed and Tiferet, it forms the second triad on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, representing the soul world (Briah).
Geburah is the fifth path of the 32 paths of wisdom and stands for root intelligence, for it is rooted in Binah, the foundation of primordial wisdom.
